Volunteer Spotlight!

Phyllis Brunell is our #1 volunteer with the most number of hours logged in and having the longest length of service to Linens of Love, Inc. Phyllis is the mom of Linen of Love’s founder, Mary Pursell, and as such, she is thoroughly committed to its mission and success.

Phyllis’s number one quality that makes her such a valuable member of our team is her compassion toward those who are less fortunate. In the office, she helps prepare orders, receives and vets donations, and alerts us when we are running low on needed items. On the road, she is one of our “smart shoppers” with a sharp eye for the best deals that are out there! With a warm disposition and winning smile, Phyllis also helps make deliveries, and always has a positive impact on the hearts of those receiving our “packages of love”.

When asked what motivates her to come to work, she responded, “It both gets me out of the house and lets me see my friends while I also get to help out in the community.” As you can see, it is a win-win situation for Phyllis and Linens of Love!
