Homelessness in Connecticut increased by approximately 9.5% in 2025, with about one in every 1,000 residents experiencing homelessness. As of January 28, 2025, there were over 3,500 people homeless in the state, including a significant rise in those unsheltered.
Our mission is to lovingly provide linens, blankets, comforters, towels, and toiletries to those in need, including those transitioning out of shelters and homelessness into permanent housing and families being reunited after a period of separation. We take particular interest in helping veterans of the United States military who find themselves in need.
There are no great things, only small things done with great love.
Linens of Love was founded after an impactful visit to a homeless shelter in New Haven, CT. It was realized that, while many are generous enough to donate food and clothes, other comforting items often get overlooked.
