A Busy Week!

Our crew member, Maria, helped load the car with DCF social worker, Natalie.

Two orders ready for pick up: one for a family of 5 and one for a dad and his 3 year old.

We are usually slow in the summer, but not this past week. And, it does not seem next week will be any different either! Our hard working, compassionate friends at DCF have had quite a few requests lately. Hearing from them is always our pleasure because their clients are exactly who we are here to help. Sometimes when they request items, they share with us some of the details without names or identifying information of any kind. Just things like, “I am looking for donations for two boys. Both boys have been through a lot of trauma over the last five months. They will start a new school in a new town. They are lovely boys and appreciate anything that is provided.” Sometimes we are contacted directly by someone in need, “My children and I have been fleeing domestic violence. And are looking for some help. We are in need of toiletries, sheets, and towels.”

When we read such requests, we are inspired to keep going, recognizing that there is a great need to be there for our brothers and sisters who are experiencing trying times. We feel humbled to be given the opportunity to be there for them. All this, because of our donors’ generosity, monetary and in-kind! Thank you, friends and supporters, for helping us provide a little love and comfort to someone in need! YOU are having an impact in the lives of many!
